Transport Drivers' knowledge in CPR.

This week Addison Lee continued their CPR and defibrillator training programme for drivers, delivered in partnership with St John Ambulance at our West Drayton Fleet Hub.

This session was made even more meaningful with Patrick Gallagher, our CEO, joining the drivers and taking part in the training, getting hands-on with the practical skills that could one day help save a life.

The programme is about more than learning CPR and how to use a defibrillator. It’s about giving drivers the knowledge, confidence and preparedness to act in those critical first moments of an emergency.

The initiative was inspired by our driver Godwin Omotobora, whose CPR training gave him the confidence to step in during a passenger’s medical emergency and help save their life. His experience is a powerful reminder of just how valuable these skills can be when they are needed most.

With thousands of drivers on the road and millions of passenger journeys taking place each year, we have a unique opportunity to build a community that is better prepared to respond when the unexpected happens.

We’re proud to be working alongside St John Ambulance to expand access to these essential skills across the driver network, and grateful to everyone who has taken part so far.
