‘Empower more women to drive their future forward’

Addison Lee were delighted to host another inspiring event for future female drivers at their West Drayton Fleet Hub, as part of our ongoing partnership with Rosie May Foundation Think Pink, bringing together women who are taking their next steps towards a career in driving

The West London event brought together women currently working towards their licence, newly licensed drivers, our current female drivers, fantastic mentors and the Think Pink team.

It was a great opportunity for future drivers to hear first-hand experiences from those already in the industry, ask questions, learn more about the driver deal and benefits available to them, and get a closer look at the vehicle they will soon be driving.

The energy in the room was truly inspiring, with women supporting, encouraging and empowering one another throughout the afternoon.

Women still make up less than 7% of private hire and taxi drivers across the UK, with representation falling below 2.5% in London.

There is a clear opportunity to change this, and through the Think Pink initiative, Addison Lee are proud to be playing their part, supporting more women through mentorship, training, shared experiences and a community that encourages them to take the next step. ‘Together, we can help create a more inclusive industry and empower more women to drive their future forward.’
